The "Governance of Sustainability" (GoS) project is part of the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 and aims to develop an innovative methodology for sustainable rural development. The project addresses the challenge of ensuring long-term impact by creating a replicable framework that partners can use beyond the project’s lifecycle. The methodology focuses on two key pillars: natural resource management and digital transformation of local production chains.
Partners from Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Poland will collaborate on multiple activities aimed at improving project management, enhancing collaboration, and researching best practices in sustainability. A key aspect of the project is the creation of a cloud-based digital platform and strategic database to facilitate communication and data sharing among partners. This platform will ensure that the methodologies and information collected are accessible and continuously updated as the project evolves.
The project consists of several key activities:
By the end of the project, the GoS initiative will have established a replicable methodology for creating sustainable, innovative projects in rural areas. Additionally, two new innovative projects will be developed using this approach, securing long-term benefits for the participating regions.
WP1 - Project Management | Coordination of project activities, including the kick-off meeting (April 2021) and multiple follow-up meetings in Italy and Bulgaria between June 2021 and November 2022, to ensure smooth execution of the GoS project. |
WP2 - Platform Creation | Development of a web-based collaborative platform, led by LAG Serre Calabresi, to facilitate communication between partners and present the territories involved. The platform will include a video presentation created by GAL Razlog. |
WP3 - Database Creation | Creation of a shared strategic database to register and store key information about partners and their participation in the GoS project. The database will evolve with future projects and partners, ensuring its long-term use. |
WP4 - Research and Analysis of Partner Consultation Procedures | LAG Razlog leads the development of a methodological manual on partner consultation procedures, aimed at improving collaborative efforts in future projects. The research will conclude with a workshop in Razlog in June 2022. |
WP5 - Best Practice Research and Analysis | All partners will research and analyze best practices in their respective countries on environmental and natural resource management and local production chains. The findings will be shared in a workshop and compiled into an e-book. |
