Gos: Governance of Sustainability”: the Gal Serre Calabresi project

Encouraging new models of governance and cooperation at European level, systematizing local experiences in the agricultural sector and in production chains, experiences in the management of natural and environmental resources to create and consolidate new models of sustainable development, are the main lines of action of the international cooperation project “Gos: Governance of Sustainability” led by Gal Serre Calabresi.
The project partnership involves Gal Razlog of Bulgaria and two associated partners: Interedu – a non-profit association that operates in the field of science and education in the Republic of North Macedonia and Gal Amici della Mazovia in Poland.

At the working table of the meeting that was held in recent days at the Gal headquarters in Chiaravalle Centrale: Marziale Battaglia, president of the Gal Serre Calabresi, Gregorio Muzzì, director of the same Local Action Group, and again for the same body Angelo De Luca, as project coordinator, Roberta Bompensa, consultant, Mario De Nardo, expert in waste management, and Emilio Dominijanni, consultant.

Representing the local territorial reality of Bulgaria were: Ventsislav Garmenov, mayor of the Municipality of Razlog, Ivan Gyurov, deputy mayor, Todor Damyanova, financial director of the Municipality of Razlog, Nadka Kroteva, president of the Gal, Veneta Naneva, executive director, Galina Kalushkova, technical assistant, and Mariya Manushkina, expert in local development strategy.

At the center of the discussion were the final results of the project which, among the various activities, led to the creation of a multifunctional common platform, the creation of a web video on the two Gals, the creation of a database for the search for partners, research on good practices related to local and regional production chains and the drafting of an e-book on the selected good practices.

On this occasion, the Bulgarian delegation was invited to participate in the sensory analysis test of the training course for “Olive oil labeling” currently being held at the Gal headquarters.
A delegation from Gal Serre Calabresi, to promote knowledge of their respective realities and good practices, went to Bulgaria in recent months.
The presidents of the two Gals Marziale Battaglia and Nadka Kroteva expressed, as confirmation of an experience of cooperation between partners and friends, the common will to continue the collaboration and exchange of experiences for the growth of their respective territories.
