The comparison between local experiences in the agricultural sector and in the production chains but above all in the management of natural and environmental resources to create and consolidate new models of sustainable development, are the main lines of action of the international cooperation project “GoS: Governance of Sustainability” led by Gal Serre Calabresi.

The aim of the project promoted by the local development agency based in Contrada Foresta is to encourage new models of governance and cooperation at European level.
The presence in recent days, within the initiatives linked to the project that were held in Chiaravalle, of representatives of Gal “Razlog” from Bulgaria and two associated partners should be read in this path: Interedu – the non-profit association that operates in the field of science and education in the North Republic of Macedonia and Gal “Amici della Mazovia” located in Poland.

At the working table of the Meeting held at the Gal headquarters, the president Marziale Battaglia met the entire partnership and consultants who took part in the project. Representing the territorial reality of Bulgaria were Ventsialav Garmenov, the mayor of the municipality of Razlog, Ivan Gyuriov, deputy mayor, Todor Damyanova, financial director of the municipality of Razlog, Nadka Kroteva, president of the Gal, Veneta Naneva, executive director, Galina Kalushicova, technical assistance and Mariya Manushkina, expert in local development strategies.
For the “Serre Calabresi” supporting the action were Gregorio Muzzi, administrative director Angelo De Luca, as project coordinator, Roberta Bompensa, consultant, Mario De Nardo, expert in waste management and the consultant Emilio Dominijanni.

At the center of the discussion were the final results of the project, which among the various activities led to the creation of a multifunctional common platform, the creation of a web video on the two GALs, the creation of a database for the search for partners, the search for good practices related to the local production chain.

The Bulgarian delegation was also invited to participate in the sensory analysis test of the training course for “Olive oil labeling” that the GAL has created.

Just a few months ago, it was the turn of a delegation from “Serre Calabresi” to go to Bulgaria to learn more about a series of ongoing initiatives.
